Privacy & data
EUPPN is a portfolio demonstration for EIT Food TeamUp 2026. Reviewers explore it through a shared demo account. This note explains what the demo stores and which services it talks to.
What we store
For each request we store the country, crop and target you choose, the field location you pin (its coordinates) and the generated recommendation, linked to the demo account so the result can be displayed. We do not collect names, email addresses or marketing data through the demo.
Cookies
We use only strictly necessary cookies: your login session, a security (CSRF) token, and your language choice. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies — so no cookie-consent banner is required.
Third-party services
Map tiles and place search are provided by OpenStreetMap and its Nominatim service; weather comes from OpenWeatherMap; the recommendation text is generated by an AI model (OpenAI). When you pin a field, its coordinates are sent to these services to fetch maps and weather.
Data sources
Product and authorization data come from public national plant-protection registries (Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland and Austria) and the EPPO Global Database. No pesticide data is invented or hard-coded.
